The department of The Miami Project has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Research Support Specialist to work at UHealth. The Research Support Specialist performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, and documentation of research data related to the assigned research studies. The incumbent also assists with the implementation of daily study activities and provides statistical support to these activities.

  • KiDZ Neuroscience has an exciting opportunity for a Research Support Specialist responsible for carrying out project initiatives for the WalkSafe and BikeSafe Programs.

  • This entails providing fundamental training and resources in implementing the two programs.

  • Field work requiring an independent form of transportation will be necessary for this position.

  • This role will report directly to Director of the KiDZ Neuroscience Center-BikeSafe Program Director.

  • The duties and responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to: Provides fundamental training and resources in implementing the programs in grant funded schools.

  • Responsible for program evaluation and qualitative data collection from the WalkSafe and BikeSafe program schools.

  • Attend community and outreach meetings and events.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners.

  • Oversees the writing of scientific papers, reports, grants, case studies.

  • Prepares and present presentations at meetings and community events, analyzes data and creates quarterly reports.

  • Educate research participants on the expected outcome of the research study and will document progress accordingly and present findings to the community members.

  • Work with data resources and is expected to perform basic social science research techniques.

  • Serves as technical assistance and support functions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

  • They must have the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.

  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.

  • Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered

  • Bilingual highly preferred
