Research Support Assistant

Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $12.00-19.00/hour

DUTIES:

Performs and supports standard laboratory procedures, experiments, solution preparation, cell microorganism cultures requiring the use of sterile techniques; Performs tests and assays for protein, enzyme and other cellular components; Performs standardized experimental protocols and prepares equipment for use; Calibrates instruments and monitors compliance and safety; Completes reports, logs and other documentation as needed; Collects data and experimental results from instruments; Enters data into databases; Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience. Higher education may substitute for the experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ophthalmology research or related experience
