Position Summary/Description:

This position will act as Laboratory Manager and will oversee quality and safety of lab facilities and equipment. This includes responsibilities in training and instructing laboratory assistants and students. This position also holds the responsibility as Lab Safety Supervisor making sure that the lab complies with EHS standards and semi-annual checks. This position will also be Lab Animal Coordinator and will oversee all animal care, husbandry, training, surgeries and will write IACUC animal protocols for the laboratory. Intellectual and experimental contributions to journal articles and grants are expected along with continually increasing knowledge in cell biology, proteomics, and zebrafish.
The Cho laboratory in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at UNC Chapel Hill studies how skeletal muscle is formed using myoblast cell lines and zebrafish embryos. We employ standard cell biology and chemo-proteomics approaches. Please see for more information. We are seeking a long-term laboratory manager.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
