Job Description

This research contract position will primarily focus on a new GulfSCEI project for automated AI/ML deficiency detection in flood water control structures. The position will be responsible for developing a secure web application and associated framework to allow authenticated users to submit data to be processed by the detection models.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

80% - participate in the design, planning, coordination, and implementation of tasks in support of the project;

5% - prepare reports for federal agency;

5% - participate in technical meetings with funding federal agency; 

10% - perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field is required by the date of hire.

  • Expertise in web design and cloud computing is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI and machine learning.

Salary Range: Salary is highly competitive.

Appointment Period: The appointment period is April 1, 2024 until January 20, 2025. The position is renewable for up to one year based on availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
