Works under the direct supervision of Dr. Samir Ghadiali and Joshua Englert on completion of research projects and fabrication of lung-on-a-chip devices; performs experimental design and data collection/analysis in a laboratory located in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Fontana labs; responsible for tasks/protocols associated with primary cell and tissue culture and device fabrication; develops standard operating protocols, conducting research experiments, and data analysis (analytical assays, image analysis, gene expression assays, biochemical assays, etc.); Provides support and training other laboratory members and students; works on writing manuscripts and other technical/scholarly works.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Chemical, Materials, or Equivalent). 2 years of research experience with cell/tissue culture work and organ-on-a-chip design, fabrication, and testing

The target hiring range for this job profile is $17.10 - $22.61 per hour, paid biweekly. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
