Research Scientist - Chemical Engineering

We are currently searching for a motivated and talented researcher to join the Niepa Group as a Research Scientist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by working on a project aimed to advance our understanding of fundamental principles governing microbial behavior at fluid interfaces.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent research within the scope of the project.

  • Collaborating with team members on experimental design and data analysis.

  • Publishing research findings in reputable scientific journals.

  • Presenting research findings at conferences and workshops.

  • Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong research background

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong track record of high-quality research through publications and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong background in colloidal science, interfacial phenomena, or related areas.

  • Proficiency in experimental techniques related to colloidal systems, including tensiometry and interfacial rheology.
