Position Summary:
 
Under the general supervision of the faculty Principal Investigator (PI) and Research Manager for the Community Health Equity (CHE) Lab, this individual will assist with research-related responsibilities to support the execution of research projects. The goal of CHE Lab research is to advocate for and reduce health inequities affecting low-income communities and communities of color.

Required:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or substantial experience) in a related health-related field. 
  • Previous experience in social & behavioral research, environmental health, and/or health promotion program preferred. Data analysis skills preferred (quantitative and/or qualitative). 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate easily and effectively with people within and outside the University, including both strong written and verbal communications. 
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
  • Skill to use a personal computer and computer software programs at the level of sophistication required for general office work. 
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with the Internet and how to conduct searches. 
  • Proficient writing skills to prepare/compose/review a variety of communications, primarily electronic. Fluent in Spanish preferred (oral, written).
