Position Summary | This position manages program and grant deliverables for the Health Careers and Workforce Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (HCWDEI) service line and assists with NC AHEC’s statewide DEI initiatives. This position will serve as the statewide program office contact and liaison to the 9 NC AHEC regional offices and Duke University team. The person is responsible for ensuring all grant related data collection, grant reporting and coordination of DEI-related communication occurs in consultation with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The position provides support to the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in pre-college programs, which presently includes the Pathways to Health Careers and the NC AHEC Scholars Program for college students in health professions training programs. This position works with confidential and sensitive information and must be able to prioritize competing deadlines and tasks associated with statewide service delivery across the NC AHEC regions. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | The selected candidate must possess experience with grants in the entire lifecycle and previous experience should be from a program management perspective. Must have demonstrated experience with program data collection and evaluation. The ability to communicate complex technical and program ideas to internal/external program workers via written and verbal communication is required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities without a great deal of oversight and daily intervention. Experience using an automated data collection system (CRM) for data entry and reporting is essential. Must be able to work with individuals at all levels and be an effective communicator, verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences. A demonstrated dedication to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in a previous role is essential. |
