Research Laboratory Technician II

Creighton University is seeking to hire a Research Lab Tech II for Dr. Sudhanva Kashyap.

 

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, follows standard procedures in laboratory testing, in evaluating various routine assays and in performing tasks related to molecular biology, biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy. Knowledge about nematode behavioral experiments will be viewed favorably. Maintains laboratory notebook and electronic testing records according to established laboratory procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of Science required
  • 2-4 year's research lab experience
  • Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment
  • Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Requires knowledge of the processes involved in documenting experiments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Detail oriented; Analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and self-initiate and work on a team
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
