Job Summary

The Spiropulu group is seeking a full-time temporary Research Lab Technician to work on INQNET program. This role focuses on quantum networking and communications as well as quantum transduction and projects within the DOE QS&T/HEP intersections program.

Essential Job Duties

• Work on setup and controls for the commissioning of entanglement generation distribution as well as swapping and high-rate tests.
• Operating precision electronics and measuring devices including lasers.
• Work on tests and integration of precision SNSPD devices in various quantum networking benchmarking tests.
• Participate in QUANT-NET/FQNET/CQNET/IEQNET research activities.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in laser operation, detection methods and devices.
• Knowledge of modern data analysis techniques and coding.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must interact daily with functional peer group and supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in STEM field.
•     Prior Caltech experience.
