Job Summary

The Research Intern will work with Dr. Amy Carroll-Scott and collaborators to write and submit a manuscript focused on the experiences of community residents of West Philadelphia who worked with Drexel School of Public Health as part of the West Philly Promise Neighborhood survey team.

Essential Functions

  • Literature reviews.
  • Qualitative coding.
  • Code summaries.
  • Graphic summary of qualitative results.
  • Citation and reference management.
  • Assist with manuscript writing and preparation for submission.

Required Qualifications

  • A master's degree in public health, Sociology, Psychology, Medicine, Nursing, or related field is required.
  • Commitment to community-engaged research is required.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Collaborative approach to work.
  • Ability to work remotely, independently, while keeping collaborators up to date on progress.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Literature review skills and familiarity with web and literature search terms and logic
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office, NVivo, Zoom
  • Qualitative coding experience

Additional Information

This is a part-time, temporary position classified as non-exempt.  The offered pay is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
