Summary

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious individual for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Hara lab, a brain tumor research laboratory in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan Medical School. The work location will be 2800 Plymouth Rd, NCRC Building 20, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 48109, within the vibrant research community of the Biointerfaces Institute. The successful candidate will lead research projects to understand the complex ecosystem of brain tumors, with a particular emphasis on intratumoral heterogeneity and cell-to-cell communication (references below). The responsibility includes data management and the application and development of new analytical pipelines for high-throughput sequencing platforms. Our interdisciplinary approach involves the integration of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics into clinical samples, in vitro and in vivo experimental models, and genetic and chemical perturbation.
