Posting Summary
Research, design, fabricate and support the development and implementation of complex and highly specialized electromechanical instrumentation, models and parts. Provide oversight and instruction specific to engineering applications in support of technical, clinical, and/or academic research initiatives for the entire UVM research community including academic-private sector partnerships and Vermont emerging technology companies.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and two to four years’ related experience required in custom prototype design and fabrication. Knowledge and skills in the areas of mechanics, materials, machining/manufacturing, and/or electronic and microcontroller development. Ability to work with researchers, inventors and others to take their ideas and concepts and develop a working prototype. Skills required include experience with P software; use of electronic and mechanical test equipment.

Payband Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)) 56700.00
Staff Hiring Band Hiring salary budgeted at mid pay band
Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate)
