Research Data Analyst 2 (RSCH DATA ANL 2)

This is 60% time position with possibility of increasing to 100% FTE in the future. The Research Data Analyst 2 is part of several collaborative research studies on autism and neurodevelopmental disorders at the MIND Institute. The Analyst is responsible for creating, and maintaining, and documenting research databases and data cleaning and processing pipelines. Specific duties include designing, building, and maintaining REDCap databases and clinical data management systems, creation and documentation of software programs to prepare data for analyses, providing data reports on quality control procedures, communicating with researchers about data audits, and attending regular research meetings. The Analyst utilizes a clear interest in data science and data analysis as well as strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, and modifying REDCap databases
• Experience interacting with and collecting sensitive information from clinical research subjects and maintaining confidentiality
• Demonstrated prior experience using R, SAS, or other program for data manipulation and data analysis, including communication with external data sources such as redcapAPI packages
• Experience with data auditing techniques such as outlier analysis, identification of orphaned and duplicate data, and value validation
• Experience with NDAR data definitions and the creation of codebooks for remapping data via authored pipeline functions
• Strong data management and experience in accurately developing and maintaining electronic files
• Experience preparing reports including graphs, tables, and/or descriptive narratives
• Experience with various computer platforms (such as, Mac OS, Linux, Windows)
• Demonstrated experience with common clinical behavior assessments and creation of scoring scripts for standardized measures (such as Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Mullen Scales of Early Learning, Expressive One Word Picture Vocabulary Test, Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test)
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related area or equivalent experience or training
