The USC POWER Lab (https://powerlab.usc.edu/) is seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Research Coordinator I. The Research Coordinator I will support the day-to-day activities of research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Tobacco-Related Disease Prevention Program (TRDRP) focused on alcohol and tobacco use in women and vulnerable populations. Specifically, employment requires recruitment and screening of research participants, executing human data collection protocols, handling and analysis of human tissue, data management, administrative tasks, and providing project support to research studies and faculty investigator. The Research Coordinator I will be responsible for hitting recruitment targets, screening research literature, abstracting data, designing tables and figures, supporting statistical analyses, assisting with technical reports, and close collaboration with Dr. Pang and the investigative team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends may be needed. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. The position requires 5 days/wk attendance on site at the USC Health Sciences Campus and County Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Bilinigual (English/Spanish) is preferred. The hourly rate range for this position is $30.62 - $35.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 1 yearMinimum Field of Expertise: Administrative or research experience. Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
