The Research Coordinator I coordinates all aspects of a research project, managing recruitment, communication with participant families, and ensuring compliance with project timelines and regulations. Manages participant payments, schedule study visits with external sites, and serves as a liaison between the project and collaborating institutions. Adheres to IRB protocols, and resource planning are crucial, along with maintaining University card transactions and organizing study materials.

  • Coordinates all aspects of the research project pertaining to recruitment, manages communication with families for study visits, ensures compliance with project timeline and progress, compliance with NIH and FIU regulations, and coordinates outreach activities.
  • Supervises project staff, temporary personnel, and monitors project staff performance.
  • Oversees data collection activities (e.g., clinical assessments, MRI, polysomnography, actigraphy, and cleaning). Data collection may require early morning and evening study visits.
  • Develops and assembles research study protocols.
  • Manages the disbursement of research participant payments.
  • Schedules and coordinates study visits with study sites. Serves as a liaison between the research project and the Center for Children and Families, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, and University of Pittsburgh.
  • Provides administrative support in the day-to-day activities of the project.
  • Adheres and maintains IRB protocol, and ensures staff adhere to IRB protocol.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator in short and long-range resource planning for the project.
  • Serves as a University card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University credit card policies and procedures.
  • Organizes and maintains study materials.
  • Works closely with the PI in developing guidelines for the research study.
  • May interact with non-English speakers in the community.

 

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience.

  • Previous experience working with parents and children.
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English.

$40,000 - $45,000

Begin time: 9:00 AM
End time: 5:30 PM

This is a time limited appointment which may be terminated at any time with 30 days’ notice.
