Research Associate

Research Assistant/Diabetes Health Coach Job Description

Experience Needed:
*    2+ years of clinical experience with diabetes prevention and self-management
*    Bi-lingual Vietnamese & English
*    Strong written and verbal communication skills
*    Good problem solver
*    A bachelor degree, preferably in nursing or allied health (public health, nutrition, etc).

Typical work duties:

*    Assist with the development and design of project/study related intervention materials
*    Assist with development of manual of operations for the project/study
*    Assist with development of website associated with the project/study
*    Assist with marketing materials for the project/study
*    Oversee updates of manual of operations, data collection forms, and websites associated with the project/study
*    Serve as a liaison between study/project and the Vietnamese-American community
*    Support project/study related English-Vietnamese translation/back translation.
*    Assists with recruitment and enrollment of project/study participants
*    Serve as an educational interventionist for the project/study
*    Perform data collection for project/study
*    Track project/study participants across the intervention, and trouble-shoot problems they arise.
*    Assure compliance with ethical standards for research project/study
*    Train, supervise, and assign work with support staff
