Summary of Job Duties:

The Research Associate will provide Consultative Clinical and Therapeutic Services under the Arkansas Autism Waiver. These services are therapeutic services to assist unpaid caregivers (parents/guardians) and paid support staff (staff involved in intensive intervention services) in carrying out the Individual Treatment Plan, as necessary to improve independence and inclusion for individuals in their community. This professional will provide technical assistance to carry out the Individual Treatment Plan and monitor progress resulting from implementation of an early intensive behavioral intervention plan. The research associate will provide technical assistance to the caregivers and staff implementing the intervention to foster positive outcomes. This staff member will manage the day-to-day operations of the project including fiscal management and compliance with waiver requirements. This staff member will provide training and support to clinical services staff and support research of the program. We seek a collaborative individual who is dedicated to improving practice and service within the community. This position requires some state travel. The successful candidate will be expected to work remotely pending review and approval as stated in the following policy. Responsibilities:
50% - Medicaid billing for the Arkansas Autism Partnership-Medicaid waiver, consultation to Arkansas Autism Partnership service providers and data analysis
20% - State Travel for the Arkansas Waiver Program and Billing and database management
30% - Fiscal management, database record management, staff training and support, professional development, and community outreach - manage the day-to-day operations of the project including fiscal management and compliance with waiver requirements. This staff member will provide training and support to clinical services staff and support research of the program

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst

  • At least three years of experience working with individuals with autism

  • Demonstrated experience providing support and technical assistance related to improving the individual acquisition of skills and outcomes

  • Experience collaborating with families in service delivery Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years experience providing training and coaching for families or individuals implementing behavior analytic procedures

  • At least two years leadership experience in school-based or community-based service settings

  • Experience providing support or technical assistance via distance technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst-doctoral level

  • Experience providing support or technical assistance via distance technology Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Computer literate/knowledge in Word, Excel, and File Maker Pro or equivalent at an intermediate skill level

  • Demonstrated data collection and analysis skills

  • Demonstrated interpersonal problem-solving skills across individuals and departments
