The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Research Associate to work in Coral Gables, FL. Dr. Jill Ehrenreich-May and her colleagues are seeking to fill a Research Associate position to support the work of the Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Treatment Program at the University of Miami (https://www.miami.edu/childanxiety ). 

The Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Treatment Program is a clinical research lab dedicated to the study of novel psychotherapy models for youth with anxiety, depression and related emotional concerns. The Research Associate Position will be specifically responsible aiding in the data collection and coordination of projects funded by The Children’s Trust and foundation sources to support the on-going evaluation of the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents , along with collaborative projects on similar intervention models.

The Research Associate will be responsible for aiding in the data management conduct of research activities associated with these projects including screening and engagement of youth and families, engagement with community stakeholders, management of participant surveys in RedCap, data management of current and former study databases, assisting with IRB protocol submissions, participant payments, and other assistance with all aspects of planning and executing intervention studies. Very strong interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills are required. Additional knowledge of psychological interventions for youth and social media or other visual media development skills are a bonus. Although not required, applicants with conversational fluency in Spanish and/or Creole are preferred.

This is an ideal position for a post-baccalaureate scholar interested in engaging with the conduct of research on intervention or prevention of youth psychopathology, and/or public health research, including racial/ethnic minority children and well-being. The applicant will be required to affirm and empower diverse individuals and work collaboratively with our  team and community members. The applicant should demonstrate a commitment to serving children and families from diverse racial/ethnic and immigrant communities, and children and families from low-income backgrounds. 

This is a full-time research position with up to 2 years of guaranteed funding. The primary work location of this position is in-person on the Coral Gables campus; however, this role may require traveling to other treatment locations in Miami-Dade County. Thus, having reliable transportation is a necessity.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field
