As a Research Assistant 1, you will provide vital support across multiple research studies under various Principal Investigators (PIs). Primary duties include:

• Performing phlebotomy

• Maintaining human tissue cultures

• Processing blood and tissue samples

• Assisting in preparing samples for downstream analyses such as microscopy, flow cytometry, and Western Blot

• Acquiring data from microscopy and flow cytometry

• Maintaining detailed laboratory notes

• Reviewing experimental procedures and summarizing results

• Ensuring lab cleanliness 

Salary Range: $18.06 – $35.78/hour

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.

• Background knowledge in cell biology.

• Knowledge of methods for handling and storing human tissues and fluids, including biohazards, appropriate storage and labeling methods, and best practices for shipping materials.

• Proficiency in maintaining accurate laboratory records.
