As a Research Assistant 1, you will provide vital support across multiple research studies under various Principal Investigators (PIs). Primary duties include:

Performing phlebotomy

Maintaining human tissue cultures

Processing blood and tissue samples

Assisting in preparing samples for downstream analyses such as microscopy, flow cytometry, and Western Blot

Acquiring data from microscopy and flow cytometry

Maintaining detailed laboratory notes

Reviewing experimental procedures and summarizing results

Ensuring lab cleanliness 

Salary Range: $18.06 – $35.78/hour



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Current and valid California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.

Background knowledge in cell biology.

Knowledge of methods for handling and storing human tissues and fluids, including biohazards, appropriate storage and labeling methods, and best practices for shipping materials.

Proficiency in maintaining accurate laboratory records.
