The Tepper School of Business is home to many programs and research programs that cross subject areas. We approach scientific problems from fresh angles using creative interdisciplinary approaches while drawing on our strengths in the core social sciences. Tepper faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for their research in a variety of fields, including organizational behavior and theory, economics, finance, and accounting.
Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
Core responsibilities include:
Develop, train and evaluate machine learning models of transaction data
Conduct research on child welfare operations with local sponsor organization
Work closely with faculty
Conduct empirical analysis of data
Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:
Expertise on text processing and time series data
Expertise in analytical work and child welfare operations required
Ability to work independently
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; PhD preferred
3-5 years of research experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
