The College of Public Health is seeking a Research Assistant to contribute to research projects within the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. The research assistant will work with Dr. Heller Murray on recruitment, scheduling, and analysis of the survey data that will be distributed via the redcap platform. The incumbent will also help with consolidating information from participants and assisting with data collection during semi-structured interviews. All interaction with participants will be remote, either via a secure redcap survey or a zoom link.

Essential functions: Assist with participant recruitment, enrollment and scheduling; Perform data collection and data analysis; Maintain research files; Assist in facilitating and maintaining positive relationship with research and community based collaborators; Assist with completion of IRB submissions; Submit routine progress reports to the PI; Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least six months of working experience required.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:
*Ability to coordinate with students or staff in the laboratory
*Data entry for research testing 
*Reviewing and annotating videos captured during physical activities of study participants
*Ability to assist with scheduling participants for studies
*Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, such as surveys, questionnaires, and interviews
*Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and corresponding software
*Strong oral communication skills
*Ability to collect, synthesize and present data for periodic reporting and IRB submission
*Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks and planning
*Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to deadlines
*Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications and ability to master other computer applications
*Availability to work to a flexible schedule to conduct interviews at the convenience of study participants

Preferred:
*Experience with data entry softwares such as REDCap

This position requires a background check.
This is a grant funded position.
