Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant/ Program Assistant- General Operations at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

Provide research assistance at center. 

Provide support to project coordinator(s), project managers, and directors. 

Schedule, confirm, and coordinate calls and meetings. 

Transcribe and follow-up on activities of the calls and meetings. 

Provide data collection, entry, and reporting support.  


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social science (social work, psychology, public health, criminal justice, urban studies) completed or near completion or equivalent experience.

Knowledge or experience in criminal/legal or behavioral health systems or administrative experience.

Preferred knowledge of criminal justice and community mental health systems (i.e. terminology, processes, goals and outcomes)

Comfortable with a variety of computer programs (including Microsoft Excel and Word, PowerPoint, SPSS, Zoom, and Teams). 

Ability to learn computer applications quickly. 

Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

Ability to effectively interface with range of community partners. 

Reliable transportation to campus.  

Located in metro Detroit area.


Preferred qualifications:

Preferred knowledge of criminal justice and community mental health systems (i.e. terminology, processes, goals and outcomes)
