Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by assisting with lab experiments, including collection and analysis of electrophysiology data, and such other tasks that are assigned to you.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Assisting with setting up and running experiments to stimulate muscles to promote wound-healing.
Working on data analysis by writing and updating Matlab or Python scripts.
Organizing and summarizing results from data analysis
Assist with writing reports and performing library research and field exploration.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Prior experience working in an academic laboratory environment would be preferred
Experience with handling laboratory animals
