The Deep Learning laboratory in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work on developing new theories, algorithms, and applications for Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL).

The successful applicant will work closely with Professor Keith Ross and his team research on deep reinforcement learning, with the goal of making fundamental contributions in new algorithms and publishing in top machine learning venues. The team aims to make progress with theory, algorithms, and applications. The candidate will work with a small team of post-docs, PhD students, graduate students, and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics, have significant expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and probability theory, and must have significant experience with PyTorch. Ideally the applicant will already have published research papers in the deep learning area.

Ideally the applicant will already have expertise in applying deep learning to computer vision or natural language processing, and will have published research papers in these areas.
