Job Summary
The Cognitive Neuroscience Lab of Memory at University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a full-time Research Assistant I to provide major support on a variety of projects including traumatic brain injury, stroke, post-traumatic stress disorder, and mild cognitive impairment.
This position will be trained in the administration of neuropsychological testing, EEG, rTMS, and tDCS applications to assist and/or lead other Research Assistants. This Research Assistant I will provide technical assistance for various research projects and conduct research activities according to research protocol.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance for various research projects.
  • Conducts research activities according to research protocol.
  • Research activities may include some or all the following: initial baseline clinical assessments to determine eligibility, intra-treatment assessments, follow-up evaluations.
  • Helping in patient recruiting and screening potential participants, traditional laboratory experiments & activities, informatics, and other laboratory work.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to data entry, office administration, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the research team.
  • Excellent phone etiquette is essential.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Work well in an independent setting and be able to follow confidentiality and privacy guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in written and oral communication.
