UTHealth Houston’s Orthopedic Research – Trauma Service is hiring for a Research Assistant I to join their team of professionals. The Research Assistant will be responsible for patient data collection, patient consenting, working with faculty to help write IRBs, working on retrospective and prospective projects, and more. Clinical research experience is a plus!
This position is funded by grants that comprise 50% or more of the funding. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of funding for this position. Your employment may end upon the cancellation or discontinuation of the project, program, or funding.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
No years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
