Job Summary | Research Assistant The College of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for a Research Assistant position responsible for the management of laboratory resources to support ongoing and collaborative research programs as directed by the principal investigator, including: procurement of animals and materials for approved research protocols, training of students and research interns in basic molecular biology techniques, data analysis and preparation of manuscripts for submission to scientific journals, and the exploration of scientific databases for material in support of grant applications to funding agencies. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications | Education and Experience: Level I: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological science or related field. Level II: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological science or related field and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols. Substitutions allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
