Occ Summary

Work Performed

Perform a variety of complex and independent activities involved in the collection, analysis, documentation and interpretation for a variety of epidemiological studies, including but not limited to

  • Lead and coordinate establishment of work procedures, development of analysis plans and identification appropriate data for research projects (10%)
  • Manage multiple types of existing datasets including but not limited to cancer registry data, patient clinical data, insurance claims data, environmental exposure data and genetic data, including responsibility for data acquisition, storage, and transfer (15%)
  • Produce data summaries, literature synthesis, draft narratives, and contribute to grant proposals (10%)
  • Coordinate the development of study protocols and reporting on project progress (15%)
  • Conduct statistical analysis of epidemiological data and interpret results (15%)
  • Co-author research publications/presentations (25%)
  • Participate in lab meetings, assists with review of scientific journals, abstracts and other literature for information applicable to ongoing research projects (10%)
  • Supervise work of trainees, and train of new personnel and trainees (10%)
  • Act as liaison with other research groups to facilitate collaborative research projects (5%)

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    Work requires a bachelor's degree in a field related to the specific position.


    Experience

    Work requires two years of experience in research/data analysis or OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE related position.
