Position Summary
Teach undergraduate and graduate (Master’s level) courses, committee service and program leadership. Position will be responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester, including large lecture sections of introductory statistics. Sufficient knowledge of statistical software, such as R and SAS, is required for teaching purposes.


Detailed Position Information
The Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science invites applications for Clinical Instructor position in Applied Statistics that starts August 16, 2024. Sufficient knowledge of statistical software, such as R and SAS, is required for teaching purposes. This position is a non-tenure track, three-year appointment that is renewable at the discretion of the University. Continuation of this appointment is dependent upon meeting the departmental and college performance standards and complying with all faculty and general UA employment policies.


Minimum Qualifications
Either a Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, or a closely related field, and extensive teaching and/or relevant work experience; or a PhD degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, or a closely related field, with appropriate teaching experience.

Previous experience in teaching statistics and/or analytics related courses


Preferred Qualifications
Industry experience and/or knowledge of statistical application Experience teaching large course sections Experience creating/developing new statistics/analytics course content.
