The OU Registrar Office is looking for a new team member in our Norman office to serve as a Registration and Student Records Specialist.
We need someone who exhibits:

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with processing grade change forms, retroactive add/drop forms and Incomplete Make-up contracts and forms
- Serves as liaison with campus partners regarding Incomplete Make-up and Grade Change process
- Serves as primary contact in Registrar’s Office for questions pertaining to research on current and former student academic records
- Manages Academic Records email account
- Assists in processing transcript requests according to FERPA regulations and Registrar Office procedures
- Answer in-coming phone calls to the Academic Records Office regarding potential complaints and needs of students, staff, faculty and public as presented
- Provide information to faculty and students regarding policies which affect academic records, referencing university policies
- Assists in the development, adherence, and maintenance of standards, policies, and procedures; documents business processes, office policies and procedures involved, audits documentation as needed
- Assists with the maintenance of completed current and historical records (physically and digitally) for functional area to ensure quick retrieval of information and report
- This position is responsible for student records management including filing, scanning and linking new and current student and purging student files
- Primary liaison in Registrar's Office for students and institutions concerning Reverse Transfer
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements

Required Education: High School diploma or GED, AND
- 12 months of office/clerical experience.
Skills:
- Ability to perceive where discretion is necessary and maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact with a wide variety of people (faculty, staff, students, and the public) in a friendly, professional manner
- Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to engage in repetitive motions including movements of the hands, wrists or fingers and communicate effectively.
Departmental Preferences:
- Prior work experience at a university
- Bachelor's Degree
- OU experience as employee and/or student
- Knowledge of Laserfiche, Banner and OU systems
