The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Registration and Records Specialist for its Office of Academic Affairs who reports to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

The Registration and Records Specialist for the College of Dentistry manages data in the Student Information System (SIS) for dental students, faculty, and courses; implements policies and develops and implements procedures regarding the collection of student information; manages registration and enrollments for dental students; organizes collection of grades; manages student records and degree audits, maintains student academic information; oversee graduation and commencement processes in liaison with the university; manages and builds complex dental student course and exam schedules, including for students with accommodations; serves as liaison with university registrar office and scheduling department; manages scheduling of classroom recordings; prepares CarmenCanvas sites for courses and other College activities, problem solves issues regarding learning tools and online examinations; serves as liaison with university Carmen support.

7:30 am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and evenings as needed.

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is 19.52 to 26.00, commensurate with experience and education.

This position requires a successful background check and drug screening.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ relevant experience or equivalent education/experience; effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and communicate findings; strong analytical skills; work effectively in teams; manage multiple projects simultaneously including those on difficult, complex, and sensitive matters; organized, flexible, and detail-oriented to ensure the quality and accuracy of data and processes; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Desired: 3 or more years’ relevant (academic affairs/student affairs in higher education setting) experience including work in a professional degree program; experience working with students, staff, and faculty member, knowledge of university policies and procedures, including the Office of the University Registrar; experience with Workday, Student Information Systems, other student databases (e.g., Access), learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Sakai, Moodle), and media management tools (e.g., MediaSite, Panopto, Echo360).

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
