PURPOSE

The Registrar Services Specialist I, under general supervision, is responsible for collaborating with the Academic Colleges and Information Technology for the continuing implementation and optimization of the Degree Works audit system and curriculum management system updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Areas 1: Operations

Perfect Effort 75%

  • Work collaboratively with Catalog and Curriculum Coordinator to verify the curriculum accuracy of new scribe and validate older degree plans scribe.

  • Assists with updates to Banner database for course inventory and curriculum additions and/or changes.

  • Assist with updating Degree Works and scribing for new catalog requirements. Work with Academic Colleges to scribe academic and technical requirements into Degree Works using the scribe tools and coding languages.

  • Prepare training manuals and tutorials for students, advisors, faculty, and staff as appropriate. Conduct training sessions and act as first line of contact for support questions from faculty and staff.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot system problems concerning degree audits. Review current processes with student educational planner (SEP), courses that count in program of study (CPoS), transfer equivalency self-service, and athletic eligibility; evaluate and implement changes for improvement.

Functional Areas 2: Program Maintenance

Percent Effort 20%

  • Collaborate with Academic Colleges and IT for the continuing implementation and optimization of the Degree Works audit system and upcoming upgrades to the DW system, running and testing degree audits.

  • Contact Ellucian support center with issues and perform corrective actions.

  • Create and maintain reports from Banner and Degree Works using Banner, Argos, and Transit reporting tools to ensure the accurate, efficient, and effective operation of DW.

Functional Area 3: Other

Percent Effort 5%

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • One (1) year of related experience.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Strong verbal, planning, and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others including faculty, administrative staff, and curriculum management.

SALARY: $42,444.96 (Annually Approx.)

  • Monthly $3,537.08
