Job Summary
The External Experienced RN Training Program (EETP) is a training program designed for experienced RNs who are looking to change or enhance their specialty practice. This program is open to external RNs who are not currently employed by UCSF Medical Center. The program begins July 8th, 2024.
The application deadline is May 3rd, 2024 at 20:59 PM PDT.
The program will be a combination of clinical preceptorship and didactic instruction. The subsequent time frame will consist of autonomous clinical rotations partnered with a buddy/resource RN.
- Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care
- Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams•Carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required
- Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision
- Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three or more years recent RN Adult in-patient or ED experience, or two years recent Hem Onc BMT RN experience, or one year recent pediatric RN/NP experience
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR certification
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification within six months of program start date
- APHON certification within 6 months of program start date
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
License/Certification
