Responsibilities*

Responsibilities:

?       Provide nursing care to dermatology patients

?       Provide telephone triage, patient education, direct patient care, documentation with follow-up and coordination with ancillary services and related departments

?       Provide functional supervision to allied health staff

?       Maintain accurate and timely records for dermatology patients

?       Work with providers to develop and carry out clinical standards of care for various patient diagnoses

?       Dermatology clinical resource to other MM Dermatology Clinics

?       Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, problem solve, delegate effectively, and to work with minimal supervision as evidenced by interviews, evaluations, and references

?       Demonstrated efficient computer skills while working in an electronic medical record

?       Critical thinking skills, able to coordinate and perform multiple activities and problem solve

?       Proven leadership ability, to include:  initiative and creativity, setting goals, promoting teamwork and accountability

?       Ability to practice independently and efficiently

  • Hourly range for Registered Nurses (0-11 months experience) $33.58/hr
  • Hourly range for Registered Nurses (12+ months experience) $33.64-$52.08/hr
  • Evening Shift Differential- $2.55 per hour
  • Night Shift Differential- $3.40 per hour
  • Weekend Differential- $1.75 per hour

Required Qualifications*

?       Active Michigan RN license

?       Minimum of 3 years, out of the last 5 years experience providing care to adult patients

?       Minimum of 2 years, out of the last 5 years experience working with dermatology patients, including but not limited to, psoriasis, inflammatory skin conditions, dermatitis, and cancerous conditions. 

?       Proficiency with documentation of patient encounters in electronic health record, e.g., Epic

?       Experience with patient/family education

?       Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills as evidenced by interviews, evaluations, and references

Desired Qualifications*

?       BSN

?       Minimum of 1 year, out of the last 5 years experience in an Ambulatory Care Clinic

?       Proficiency with MiChart in-basket management in electronic health record, e.g., Epic


Work Schedule

Hours:  40 hours per week

Shift/Hours/Days:  8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, some Saturdays may be required (nontraditional including weekends/holidays commitment).  Hours will be variable based on patient and volume needs, with flexibility required.

Location:  Dominos Farms Dermatology Clinic with potential to work in other dermatology locations.          

All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.


Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.


Background Screening
