Position Information

The Recreation Activity Support Coordinator position provides supervision and support to the Student Recreation Center during evening and nighttime operations. The incumbent will also assist in managing on-site aspects of special events, activity classes, intramurals and competitive sports, youth camps, and other projects/responsibilities as assigned.

The full salary range for the Recreation Activity Support Coordinator position is $21.89 - $36.35 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $21.89 - $29.12 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Client service minded, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking skills to resolve issues.
Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications relevant to job duties.
Specialized knowledge of program activity and industry best practices.
Leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization, internally and externally.
Service orientation, program management, sound judgment and decision-making, critical thinking, development of original ideas, and creative problem solving skills.

Previous work with youth summer camps
