Radiation Therapist

Brief Description of Duties:

Performance of all aspects of Radiation Therapy within the limits of professional licensure and accredidations and as part of a departmental team. The RTT will maintain and monitor all equipment in their department including but not limited to the CT Simulator, LINAC, Laser systems, IT systems, Patient Positioning Equipment, and Patient Care Equipment. The RTT will maintain a safe and professional atmosphere with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses and administrative staff.

Special Skills or Educational Requirements:

• High School Graduate required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Maintain current NYSDOH Radiation Therapy Technologist license
• Maintain current ARRT license
• Graduate from an accredited RTT program

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements: 

• Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services*
• Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
• Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen*
• Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
• Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s). 

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer. 

*The hiring department will be responsible for any fee incurred for examination.

StaffCo is a Professional Employer Organization, commonly referred to as a PEO.
