UI Health is seeking a Quality Specialist to join our Continuous Quality Improvement team.  This role will lead continuous improvement programs throughout the organization and helps develop a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence.  Responsible for reporting performance and escalate barriers to Health System Quality Committee (HSQC). Lead true north task forces, and other prioritized PI teams, supporting UIH's strategic QST goals (including any PI resulting from critical incident RCAs). Prepares progress reports to leadership and identifies barriers, develops action plans and issues requiring escalation for resolution. Observes clinical and operational workflow practices to identify gaps in performance deviation from established practices, utilizing appropriate QI tools. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads continuous improvement programs throughout the organization and helps develop a culture of
  • Lead true north task forces, and other prioritized PI teams, supporting UIH's strategic QST goals (including any PI resulting from critical incident RCAs)
  • Prepares progress reports to leadership and identifies barriers, develops action plans and issues requiring escalation for resolution
  • Observes clinical and operational workflow practices to identify gaps in performance deviating from established practices, utilizing appropriate QI tools.
  • Reporting performance and escalate barriers to HSQC
  • Hold team members accountable for PI action items
  • Keeps abreast of the latest trends in performance improvement

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree as required by the position to be filled in the area of specialization inherent in the position may be required.
  • One (1) year (12 months) of Quality Improvement work experience in a clinical or healthcare related field.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • LSSGB designation
    • Minimum of two years clinical hospital or clinical process improvement experience
