As Quality Enhancement Coordinator, this individual will manage, coordinate and provide Quality Enhancement and technical assistance in early care and education programs in Guilford County through EQuIPD. Position will require primarily working with individuals in early care and education programs and with the early childhood community. This individual will work with and collaborate with other staff and domains at EQuIPD (Community Learning, Educational Attainment, Guiding Healthy Behaviors, Work Environment and Compensation). In many cases programs need consultation (onsite technical assistance, observations, professional development opportunities and engagement in other domains of EQuIPD) to assist them in meeting licensing standards as well as information about enhancing their quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS in early childhood education, a BA in public health or related field plus 18 focused semester hours in early childhood education; or a Master’s Degree plus 12 focused semester hours in early childhood education.
  • Three years of prior experience in working with early care and education professionals.
  • Prior experience with providing technical assistance in early care and education programs. Must possess leadership skills to operate independently on the project.
  • Leadership skills should include excellent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as effective decision-making strategies and strategic planning skills.
  • Understanding of Environment Rated Scales and the Star Rated License System in North Carolina is also preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Maintain Level 11 Early Educator Certification with TA Endorsement through NC Institute for Child Development Professionals.
  • Some experience with creating online content and technology (social media, website development.
  • Conversational Spanish and experience with Latine/Hispanic families is preferred.
