Working Conditions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of CDC pandemic cleaning standards
Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
Knowledge of various hard surface floor care and carpet care equipment and chemicals
Detail-oriented and thorough
Ability to perform basic repairs and operate related tools or equipment
Ability to interact with staff, students and visitors while remaining professional, polite and courteous
Ability to manage stressful situation; adaptable to change
Ability to use a windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate an University vehicle in a safe manner

Conducts and documents regular building inspections to ensure that the standards for cleanliness, appearance and working environment are being maintained.

Documents improvements needed and follow-up guidelines to ascertain the improvement of such areas within a specified period of time.

Periodically evaluates established programs such as the Employee Exposure Control Plan to ensure it meets the standards established in the policy.

Provides communication to manager and then Manager of QA Dept. communicates with mangers and supervisors in established standards of quality within their areas of responsibilities.

Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy and relevance.
