The Quaker Fellow in Athletic Administration is a one year opportunity and reports to the Director of Administration and Campus OutreachJob Description
Responsibilities
- Assists Athletic Director, Executive Team, and select departmental programs with administrative support and project work.
- Supports Athletic Director’s Strategic Initiatives & Projects - Inaugural Fueling Station.
- Maintain on site presence and daily communication with Head Sports Dietitian & Assistant AD, Athletic Operations to ensure fueling station operations run efficiently
- Work with student-athletes to maximize nutrition program offerings and utilization
- Assists in the management of centralized Penn Athletics & Recreation Internship Program.
- Coordinates the external recruitment, selection, and evaluation of approximately 50 divisional interns each semester (Fall, Spring, Summer)
- Works closely with coaches and staff to identify internship opportunities and develop meaningful roles throughout the division
- Provides onboarding and orientation support as well as ongoing feedback and professional development programming to interns
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics department preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms, including Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to professionally collaborate with a diverse group of coaches, staff, and students-athletes.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and independently execute tasks on a deadline.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule(nights/weekends /holidays) as needed
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
