Psychometrist - Pediatric Psychology & Developmental Medicine

Position Description:

Purpose

Oversee and conduct psychological/neuropsychological testing of patients. Coordinate collection of clinical research data, and train graduate students and residents in evaluation procedures.

Primary Functions

  •   Perform psychological/neuropsychological testing of patients and research subjects.

  •   Interview patients and patient care givers as directed and consult with other professionals to assist in recognition of treatment obstacles.

  •   Evaluate, score, and summarize tests administered to patients.

  •   Write reports, summaries and/or case histories as necessary.

  •   Manage research and clinical data, and coordinate patient schedules.

  •   Train graduate students and residents in evaluation procedures.

  •   Perform literature searches and research reviews.

• Maintain testing supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

Knowledge of biology, clinical judgment, medicine, cultural awareness, and consulting.

Medical documentation, interpersonal, practice-based learning and improvement, empathy, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Schedule:
Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours or as needed to accommodate business needs.
