Job Summary | The University of Utah Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a full time Quality Assurance Analyst for our Ryan White Program. The University of Utah Ryan White Program provides vital medical care, social service assistance, and advocacy for people and communities living with HIV/AIDS in Utah and across the Mountain West. The Quality Assurance Analyst supports the HIV Program to achieve internal and external programmatic goals by developing and monitoring the key financial, operational, and quality metrics that drive process improvement initiatives for the Program. This position interfaces with all aspects of the University of Utah Ryan White Program – including grant writing; data collection, reporting, and analytics; and relationship building with Program teams and community partners. Ensuring quality and compliance across the Ryan White B, C, and D programs, the Quality Assurance Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining and growing each of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants that fund each program. The Quality Assurance Analyst will evaluate day-to-day programmatic operations; develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; manage and optimize data collection processes; coordinate and implement quality improvement initiatives; and participate in state and national program meetings. Effective communication and collaboration, adaptability, and exceptional organizational skills are critical for the Quality Assurance Analyst to effectively support and grow the Ryan White Program at University of Utah Health. The Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with the Program Manager under the direction of the HIV Program Director to meet the many needs of the HIV Program teams and patients. |
Responsibilities |

Minimum Qualifications | Associate’s degree in related area, four years of related customer service experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Quality assurance experience in a customer service or health care environment may be required. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations. |
Preferences | Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – but specifically Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with medical billing processes is helpful. |
