Job Summary | The ambulatory group in the Department consists of 11 pediatric subspecialty divisions and service lines that practice primarily at Eccles Primary Children’s Outpatient Services building (PCOS), Primary Children’s Hospital (PCH) Riverton, PCH Layton, and some satellite clinics. The Triage Medical Assistant / EMT provides assistive care to patients. Facilitates the efficient delivery of patient care, supports the professional role of the licensed staff, and provides support and assistance as directed by licensed staff in rendering basic healthcare to the patient. Assists with clerical functions as a multi-skilled auxiliary worker. Incumbents will support designated pediatric subspecialties, with opportunities to expand and work closely with multiple disciplines. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Regular and punctual attendance is required. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. Minimum Qualifications | Required Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Preferred Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). |
