The person in the position will perform experiments with transgenic mice under the direction of Dr. Charles Glabe.
This NIH-funded project uses cell population-specific labeling of proteome to study the contributions of different populations of neurons and glia to amyloid deposition and the temporal and spatial mechanisms of plaque deposition and maturation. This person also will work on the contributions of glia to amyloid deposition. Renewal of the appointment will be contingent on the availability of adequate funding and performance.
