Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an experienced Project Manager to serve on its Campus Strategy team. Housed under Administration & Finance, Campus Strategy supports high-level projects identified as key institutional priorities by the campus community (via the strategic plan), as well as by the Chancellor and the senior leadership team. This position represents an exciting opportunity to shepherd a variety of high-impact initiatives at the campus from the ideation phase through design and implementation. The role will act as a resource and project management SME to support critical elements of the campus’s strategic planning process.

Key Responsibilities :

Although precise needs will vary by project, example activities may include (but will not be limited to):

  • Defining project scope, milestones, objectives, and timelines
  • Facilitating project meetings
  • Building relationships with stakeholders
  • Setting and managing roles, responsibilities, and expectations among project team members
  • Estimating resource requirements and allocating available resources (including time) effectively
  • Providing reports and updates to leaders, project team members, and other stakeholders as necessary
  • Tracking project performance at regularly intervals to ensure that key milestones and objectives are met
  • Management of multiple initiatives at various stages of the project lifecycle
  • Assessing and mitigating risk
  • Ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Coordinating and aligning with change manager(s) and executive sponsors to ensure project success

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3 or more years of professional project management experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional project management experience.
  • PMP, Prosci, Scrum, and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience working in (or familiarity with) any of the following: higher education, hospital systems, research administration.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, Microsoft Project, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Strong ability to manage multiple competing tasks, and to prioritize projects of varying scope and complexity
  • Technically savvy and able to quickly learn systems and software programs
  • Skilled at motivating others, fostering engagement, and generating buy-in
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting hiring range for this position has been established as $65,610 - $83,456.

The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position will not be eligible for overtime compensation.
