The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) seeks applications for the role of Project Manager. This key position provides a broad range of administrative, analytical, and programmatic support for departmental initiatives, notably in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, communication projects, and web portal management. The Project Manager will also provide administrative support to DOM divisions, as necessary.
Reporting to the Associate Chair for Administration, the Project Manager is expected to demonstrate innovative thinking and strategic planning capabilities, along with proven project management expertise. The incumbent will have a significant impact on advancing the department's initiatives by working collaboratively with stakeholders to advance goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities include the management of multiple, overlapping project timelines, ensuring the delivery of outcomes that meet the high-quality standards expected by the Department of Medicine. The Project Manager will be responsible for facilitating project meetings, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and tracking project milestones. Post-project evaluation to assess outcomes and identify potential areas for improvement is also a crucial aspect of the role, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Project Manager will support the central administration team by coordinating and implementing departmental initiatives, managing project scopes, and adhering to timelines to achieve organizational goals. The role may extend to managing schedules and providing temporary support as a floating administrative coordinator to various divisions.
The successful candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy, addressing project-based assignments that require comprehensive problem-solving skills, including research, analysis, identification of solutions, and the presentation of results.
The role demands a professional who is adept at navigating a fast-paced work environment and who can effectively support complex change management strategies as necessary. The capacity to work collaboratively with the central administration team to maintain project schedules is essential.
