Project Manager for Clinical Psychology Research

Job Summary

 

The iCAN Lab at Purdue University (PI: Sarah Karalunas) is seeking a full-time lab manager to assist with operations of a clinical research lab in Psychological Sciences. Research is largely funded by NIH and focuses on children and families with ADHD. The manager will help with all day-to-day lab operations, including overseeing study administration (e.g., staffing, recruitment, data collection, compensating participants); staff hiring and supervision; managing research equipment, technology, and supply needs; overseeing IRB and other regulatory compliance; coordinating lab meetings and events; and supporting the PI in developing new protocols and projects. The manager will also assist the PI in grant submission, including writing and editing non-science portions of grants, and be responsible for working with external agencies to achieve research goals (e.g., interfacing with large health systems for recruitment, coordinating off-campus research space). 

 

The ideal candidate will have some prior experience with one or more of the following: managing research projects, working with children and families, and familiarity with online data collection, psychometrics, budgeting, and the grant submission process. Experience in all areas is not necessary; candidates with experience in any of these or related areas will be considered, and there is flexibility for this job to fit a candidate’s particular strengths and interests. This position is ideal for a college graduate interested in applying to graduate school OR a recent master’s or PhD graduate interested in research administration as a long-term career. P2 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Human Development, or related field 
  • 1 year of experience in a research lab, minimum

P3 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Human Development, or related field 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a research lab


Preferred

  • Experience working with children and families
  • Experience with online data collection in REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar platform
  • Experience with data management in SPSS, Excel
  • Experience supervising staff
