This is a full-time, twelve-month grant funded position, which reports to the Associate Vice President of Student Success. The Project Director provides strong leadership, and guidance and coordinates the overall experience for the Veteran students on campus. The position provides hands-on support to student veterans and coordination of grant activities. The position will focus on the retention of military-affiliated students through holistic individual support and military-affiliated programming.

Identify and establish resources and services within Atlanta Metropolitan State College and community organizations to retain military-affiliated students.
Establish military-affiliated programming; including planning Veterans Week activities.
Represent the Office of Veterans Affairs at on-campus events, conferences, and education fairs hosted on military bases and within the USG sector

Serve as a member of the Strategic Enrollment Management Team (SEM) with efforts to collaborate and advance the college¿s enrollment priorities and goals with the Veteran Students population

Provide individual Veteran Administration benefit counseling
Collect academic military-affiliated data
Serve as Project Director and maintain the CEVSS grant budget
Perform other duties as required

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Other Required Qualifications
Proficient in word processing software, spreadsheets, social media, Internet, and e-mail systems
Required Experience
Minimum of three (3) years working with veteran and military population.
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Veteran Administration Education Benefits.
Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, and Banner.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree

55k - 65k/annual
