I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary: | The Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is responsible for leading the university’s alumni and fundraising efforts and seeks to promote a culture of philanthropy throughout the university community, including alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations, patients, and friends. Our goal is to advance GW’s mission of excellence in education, research, scholarship, and patient care. The Projects Coordinator, Schools and Units plays an integral role in supporting the Associate Vice President (AVP), Schools, and Units to ensure coordination and alignment of fundraising operations for 7 schools and units in a fast-paced environment. This support position is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support on various development and alumni relations activities. Core responsibilities include managing the calendar and prioritizing requests for the AVP, Schools, and Units, coordination and follow-up with school and unit partners as directed by the AVP, Schools, and Units, and preparation and compilation of materials and reports, as well as event, travel and logistical support as needed. The Project Coordinator will track activity related to schools and units, including events, fundraising progress, donor strategies, and follow-up. The Project Coordinator provides enhanced administrative support to the Associate Vice President, Schools and Units, and secondary coverage for select members of the DAR leadership team as needed. The position requires a high level of judgment and discretion, the utmost attention to detail, and excellent customer service and organization, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize. Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
